The Vegesacker Rowing Club (VRV) is a rowing club in Bremen-Vegesack on the Lesum . The VRV is a member of the German Rowing Association (DRV) and the Bremen State Rowing Association (LRVB).
history
The Vegesack rowing club was founded on December 15, 1900 in the Hotel "Bellevue" on Weserstraße . The first boats were built by the Lürssen shipyard, which was still in operation at Vegesack harbor .
The VRV has also had a women's department since 1927. Also in 1927 the house on the water was built as the club's boathouse. In 1974 the Vegesack rowing club moved to the Lesum and left the house on the water.
The VRV works together with the rowing team from Jacobs University Bremen .
