Vehlgast is a district of the Hanseatic city of Havelberg in the Stendal district in Saxony-Anhalt .

The village is located nine kilometers east-southeast of Havelberg on an oxbow lake of the Havel , called Vehlgaster village Havel . The neighboring towns are Klein-Damerow and Damerow in the north-east, Wendisch Kirchhof in the south-east, Kuhlhausen in the south, Fischerberg in the south-west, Jeditz in the west and Wöplitz in the north-west.
