VEIN

VEIN is a modern jazz piano trio from Basel , Switzerland . The combo, mentioned by critics in a series of big names, was founded in 2006 and has released twelve albums by 2017.

The internationally performing trio consists of Michael Arbenz ( piano ), Thomas Lähns ( double bass ) and Florian Arbenz ( drums ). VEIN also frequently appears with guest soloists such as David Liebman (including at Sunset Paris 2010), Greg Osby (including at Jazzkeller Frankfurt 2008) and Glenn Ferris . In a concert review by Ulrich Olshausen , it is mentioned that Osby 2008 appeared in the band as “ingeniously in good hands as nowhere else”.
