Ventur Schöttle

Ventur Schöttle , even Bonaventura Schöttle , (* 22. September 1929 in Granheim , today Ehingen ) is a German politician of the CDU .

education and profession

Schöttle learned the trade of a farmer after school . He passed the agricultural master exam.

Political activity

Since the early 1960s, Schöttle has also been politically active and since 1964 has been a member of the state board of the CDU in Baden-Württemberg . Four years later he was elected to the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg for the first time , to which he belonged until 1996.

In February 1978, Prime Minister Hans Filbinger brought him into the state government , but as political state secretary in the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and the Environment, he had no seat and no voice in the cabinet. Schöttle exercised this office in the same year under Prime Minister Lothar Späth and after the state elections in 1980, 1984 and 1988. After Späth resigned as Prime Minister in 1991, Schöttle also gave up his post as State Secretary. His successor was Ludger Reddemann .

Other offices, honors and awards

In addition to his political offices, Schöttle was also chairman of the Baden-Württemberg regional association of the German Forest Protection Association from 1973 to 2008 and, until a few years ago, chairman of the supervisory board of the Badische Staatsbrauerei Rothaus .

In 1985 he was awarded the Great Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. On May 11, 1996 Prime Minister awarded him Erwin Teufel , the Medal of Merit of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg .

Family and private

Schöttle still lives in Granheim today with the family of his eldest son.
