The Union Savings Bank Wesel was a public savings bank with headquarters in Wesel on the Lower Rhine in North Rhine-Westphalia . Their business area extended over the cities of Wesel and Hamminkeln as well as the community of Schermbeck - all in the Wesel district .

The Verbands-Sparkasse Wesel was an institution under public law . The legal basis was the Sparkasse Act for North Rhine-Westphalia and the articles of association issued by the Sparkasse's administrative board . Business alignment
The Verbands-Sparkasse Wesel operated the universal banking business as a savings bank . It is the market leader in its business area. The then Verbands-Sparkasse Wesel was founded in 1827 as the Städtische Sparkasse zu Wesel. On January 1, 2016, it merged with the former Sparkasse Dinslaken-Voerde-Hünxe and is now called Niederrheinische Sparkasse RheinLippe .
Donations and sponsorship
Verbands-Sparkasse provided financial support to various non-profit associations and institutions in their area of business.
For the 150th anniversary of the Verbands-Sparkasse, the "Anniversary Foundation of the Verbands-Sparkasse Wesel" was established in 1977. The purpose of the Jubilee Foundation is to promote home care, local history, local art and sport as well as the promotion of youth care and social tasks and facilities in the business area of the Verbands-Sparkasse.
Current
The Verbands-Sparkasse Wesel merged with the former Sparkasse Dinslaken-Voerde-Hünxe on January 1, 2016 .
The assets of the Sparkasse Dinslaken-Voerde-Hünxe have been transferred as a whole to the Verbands-Sparkasse Wesel by way of universal succession. The Verbands-Sparkasse Wesel has changed its name to Niederrheinische Sparkasse RheinLippe.
