A trolleybus - now decommissioned - and a VBSH bus

The transport company Schaffhausen (VBSH or outdated VBSch), until 1966 tram Schaffhausen SchSt , was a transport company in the Swiss canton of Schaffhausen . It served the city of Schaffhausen and the neighboring community of Neuhausen am Rheinfall , all lines were integrated into the Ostwind tariff association . According to its own information, the company carried 13 million passengers annually.

In 2019, the Schaffhausen transport company merged with the Schaffhausen regional transport company (RVSH) to form the Schaffhausen transport company vbsh .

The company was founded on the occasion of the opening of the Schaffhausen tram , which ran for the first time on April 13, 1901. Since 1928, buses have supplemented city traffic, although these were operated by the private company Rattin until 1984 on behalf of the SchSt and VBSH . A tariff community between the two modes of transport has existed since May 1, 1954. The name was finally changed when the tram was switched to a trolleybus ; the last tram ran on September 23, 1966.
