General

The publishing house Dohr, founded in 1990 by Christoph Dohr in Cologne-Bickendorf , is a four-branch music publisher based in Bergheim -Ahe. From 1992 to 2010 the publishing house was based in Cologne- Rheinkassel . The publisher publishes sheet music (initially mainly music from the 20th century, now also composers, especially from the 19th and 18th centuries in critically revised new editions), music books from various fields, and CDs with piano and chamber music. In the first two decades of existence, the fourth division was initially the area of ​​magazines ("In the service of the church" from 1990 to 2000; "Rheinisches Musikmagazin 'fermate'" (founded 1982) from 1990 to 2010). Over 3000 titles are currently available from Verlag Dohr. Since 2005, the publisher's office and delivery department have been located in Haus Eller in Bergheim-Ahe since 2010 .

The publisher publishes around 100 new publications per year. He has been honored with many awards for his publishing activities, most recently in 2016 with one of 10 prizes of the Best Edition of the German Music Edition Award for the publication of the Schumann-Briefedition Vols I.4–7 .

Piano Museum
