Wolfgang Hildemann
Wolfgang Hildemann (* 1925 in Cheb / Eger ; † 1995 in Düsseldorf ) was a German composer and music educator .
Life
Hildemann attended the music academies in Prague and Nuremberg and studied with Fidelio Finke , Anton Nowakowski and Joseph Keilberth , among others . In 1952 he passed his Kapellmeister exam.
From 1949 to 1967 he was initially a music teacher for the Windsbach boys' choir . He then taught at the Odenwald School in Oberhambach from 1962 . Finally he switched to the Hugo Junkers Gymnasium in Mönchengladbach . He also became a lecturer in church music and composition at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences . For a long time he also headed the music department of the Esslingen Artists' Guild .
