Vermoim is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal . Vermoim belongs to the county and the city of Maia in the district of Porto . The community had an area of 4.1 km² and 15,732 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the parishes of Vermoim, Gueifães and Maia were merged to form the new parish Cidade da Maia .
