Vernon George Turner

Vernon George Turner (born September 1926 in Ottawa ) is a former Canadian ambassador .

Vernon George Turner joined the foreign service in June 1954. From August 11, 1954, he was a member of the International Commission for Supervision and Control in Vietnam for 16 months . He was accredited first in Hanoi, later in Saigon and finally again in Hanoi . He was then accredited in London , where he married.

In the four and a half years in which George Vernon Turner in New York City at the United Nations was accredited, Canada had 1,967 to 1,968 a seat on the UN Security Council . In September 1991, Vernon George Turner was retired.

During his time as ambassador in Moscow , his military attaché Larry Bowen was expelled.
