Veronika Dimke
Veronika Dimke (* 1973 in Munich ) is a German artist. She lives and works in Munich and Cologne.
Life
After training as a state-certified wood sculptor , which she completed in 1998, she worked in the Munich Domagkateliers from 1998 to 2002 . In 2008 she received a project grant for fine arts from the city of Munich. She completed her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich in 2009 with the documentary film I don't fear fear . She lives and works in Munich. Her work spans a spectrum from drawing to sculpture and painting to film and performance art. She sees herself as a feminist and in her work consistently removes the boundaries between art and politics. In her work as well as in her political activism, she deals with the issues of feminism , anti- sexism and anti-racism and repeatedly points out the multiple entanglements that characterize the interaction of the most varied of power relations.
Among other things, she also took part in the city women’s conference.
