biography

Veronika Dytrt is the older sister of the multiple German champion Annette Dytrt . As a toddler she moved with her parents from the Czech Republic to Germany , where she started ice skating in Landshut . Later she started for the Munich EV in the master class. In 1998 she went back to the Czech Republic with her sister to avoid the competition of Tanja Szewczenko and Eva-Maria Fitze . The Dytrt sisters started for the SKK Karwin and in 1999 immediately won a double victory (Annette ahead of Veronika) in the national championships. While Annette Dytrt returned to Germany a year later, Veronika competed in Czech championships until 2002 (most recently for the TJ Autoškoda Mladá Boleslav ) and achieved podium places without being able to qualify for international championships. After finishing her career, Veronika Dytrt stayed in the Czech Republic, where she works for the Škoda automobile plant.
