Veronika Fischer (educational scientist)

Veronika Fischer (* 1951 in Duisburg ) is a German economist and educationalist . She has a doctorate in business education and is a professor of educational science .

Life

Veronika Fischer studied from 1969 to 1974 in Bonn and Madrid the subjects educational science and Romance languages . She finished both subjects with state exams. She then did a postgraduate course in economics and did her doctorate in business education in 1982 at the University of Wuppertal .

Her professional career began at the Institute for German Language , where Veronika Fischer worked as a research assistant from 1975 to 1978. From 1978 to 1996 she worked as a department head for the areas of foreign languages, intercultural adult education and migration work at the German Adult Education Association

During this period from 1975 to 1996 she also worked on a research project by the DFG on the topic of "Class-specific language use by students" and on the topic of "Intercultural adult education" with several development groups (including one of the State Institute for Schools and Further Education in North Rhine-Westphalia).

Since 1996, Veronika Fischer has been professor of educational science at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences with a focus on intercultural pedagogy, migration social work and adult education.

Veronika Fischer is also privately involved in integration debates, for example she was one of the signatories of a declaration on the Sarrazin debate
