Veronika Hoffmann

Veronika Hoffmann (* 1974 in Darmstadt ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian and university professor .

Life

From 1993 to 1998 she studied Catholic theology in Innsbruck and at the PTH Sankt Georgen . From 1999 to 2003 she trained as a pastoral assistant in the diocese of Mainz ; Religious teacher and school chaplain at the Marienschule Offenbach . From 2003 to 2006 she was a graduate fellow of the Cusanuswerk . After graduating as a Dr. theol. In 2006 at the WWU Münster she was a pastoral assistant at the all-day high school "Theresianum" in Mainz from 2006 to 2007 . From 2007 to 2013 she was a research assistant at the Chair of Dogmatics at the University of Erfurt . After completing her habilitation in dogmatics and ecumenical theology in 2012, she received a 2013 Heisenberg grant from the DFG at the Theological Research College of the University of Erfurt. From 2013 to 2018 she taught as a professor for systematic theology at the seminar for Catholic theology at the University of Siegen . In the 2015/2016 winter semester she was a fellow at the Max Weber College for Cultural and Social Studies at the University of Erfurt. She has been Professor of Dogmatics at the University of Friborg since the fall semester of 2018 .

Her work and research focus are religious doubts, metaphors and models in theology, reality of God, knowledge of God and speech and theology of gifts.
