Administrative community Biederitz-Möser
The administrative community Biederitz-Möser was formed on January 1, 2005 on the basis of the municipal code of the state of Saxony-Anhalt from the eleven municipalities from the municipalities of the dissolved administrative communities Biederitz and Möser . At the same time, the previously independent communities of Menz, Nedlitz and Wahlitz ( VG Biederitz ) were incorporated into the city of Gommern .
On January 1, 2010, the administrative community was dissolved. The communities Biederitz, Gerwisch, Gübs, Königsborn and Woltersdorf form the new unitary community Biederitz , Hohenwarthe, Körbelitz, Lostau, Möser, Pietzpuhl and Schermen merged to form the unitary community Möser .
The administrative community was in the southwestern part of the district of Jerichower Land . The predominantly flat landscape is characterized by the Elbe lowlands and the Umflutehle-Külzauer Forest nature reserve.
In the administrative community Biederitz-Möser 16,717 inhabitants (December 31, 2008) lived on an area of 119.56 km². The last administrative manager was Günter Schulze.
