coat of arms

The coat of arms was approved on May 26, 1998 by the Magdeburg Regional Council.

Blazon : "In green over two parallel, black-contoured corrugated bars, an open silver archway (basket arch), in the gate opening a cut-off horse's body."

The colors of the parish are silver (white) - green.

The aim is to combine the architecture of the gate entrances to the Bördehöfe in this territory with the appreciation of the horses that passed through these gates every day on the fields. Furthermore, the entrance to the gate should symbolize the gate from the north (Altmark) into the Börde. The two wavy bars apply to the geographical parallelism of the Ohre and Mittelland Canal, which cross the area of the municipality.
