Vestbanen (Norwegian for Western Railway ) is a central moraine in the icy Humboldt Trench of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It has its starting point on the Zwieselberg and runs dead straight in a northerly direction over a length of 21 km along the western flank of the Petermann chain in the Wohlthat massif .

Participants in the German Antarctic Expedition in 1938/39 under the direction of polar explorer Alfred Ritscher carried out an initial rough mapping based on aerial photographs. Participants in the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960) carried out a new mapping on the basis of their own aerial photographs and measurements. They named it in connection with the naming of the moraine Austbanen , which runs parallel to it about 11 km to the east.
