The VfL Montabaur was a German sports club in the Rhineland-Palatinate town of Montabaur in the Westerwald district .

Soccer

In the season 1946/47 the team played in the Association League Rhineland and landed there with 13: 5 points in fifth place. On December 29, 1949, the club organized a friendly game between the then TuS Neuendorf and Eintracht Frankfurt for the opening of its new stadium , which Neuendorf won 2-1.
