Vižula is a Croatian peninsula on the southern tip of Istria . It juts out from the coastal town of Medulin into a bay of the Adriatic Sea . Vižula has an area of about 0.24 km².
Vižula is best known for the archaeological site on it, which is one of the most important in Croatia. The foundations are exposed and can be viewed. The peninsula has been a listed building since 1974.
The archaeological site on Vižula includes in particular a Roman villa on the west coast of the peninsula. It was built between the 1st and 4th centuries AD and probably belonged to Constantine the Great . Parts of the floor mosaics and a sewage system have been preserved.
The archaeological excavations on Vižula began in 1995 and continued in 2013.
