Vicente Juan Masip
Vicente Juan Masip (second name Juan de Joanes ; * around 1500 ; † December 21, 1579 in Bocairent , Valencia Province ) was a Spanish painter.
Masip seems to have formed in Italy after Raphael and then settled in Valencia, but also worked in other Spanish cities.
He is said to have prepared himself through the holy sacraments for every work that was intended for ecclesiastical purposes. He died in Bocairent on December 21, 1579, after decorating the parish church altar wall there with paintings.
Masip's paintings, mostly depictions of religious objects, are primarily characterized by grace, correctness of the drawing and perspective and good folds. In terms of color, it followed the Roman school , but this is a bit dull.
