Vicente Módena († May 17, 1944 ) was a Uruguayan football player .

Career

society

Módena was in 1908 and 1910 with the River Plate Football Club in the Primera División Uruguayan champions. In 1910 he was the most successful goalscorer of his team. It is reported that Módena was a womanizer who did no work and lived at the expense of women.

National team

Módena was a member of the Uruguayan senior team . From his debut on August 15, 1908 as part of the Copa Lipton to his last appearance on October 6, 1912 at the Copa Newton , he completed 14 international matches, according to the RSSSF . He did not score an international goal. However, his participation in the international match against Argentina on June 9, 1913 at the Copa Roque Saenz Pena is noted, so that he accordingly accumulated in 15 official internationals. He was also used in the two unofficial international matches against Argentina on February 25, 1912 and April 27, 1913. He took with Celeste at the Copa Centenario Revolución de Mayo designated World Grand Prix 1910 in part. He also won the Copa Lipton with Uruguay in 1910 and 1912.
