Vicki Nelson-Dunbar (* 25. September 1962 as Vicki Nelson ) is a former American tennis player .

Career

On the WTA Tour , she won an individual title at the 1986 Brazilian Open in São Paulo . She won the final against Jenny Klitch 6: 2, 7: 6.

Nelson-Dunbar is also remembered for her first-round encounter against Jean Hepner at the WTA tournament in Richmond in 1984 . This encounter went down as the longest match in women's tennis history, it lasted 6 hours and 31 minutes. It took them 1 hour and 47 minutes for the tie-break alone. In addition, it also had the longest rally; it lasted 29 minutes and the ball flew 643 times over the net. She won this match 6-4 and 7-6 11 .

In 1985 she married Keith Dunbar.
