Vicky Featherstone

Vicky Featherstone (born April 5, 1967 in Redhill , Surrey ) is a British director and theater manager.

Life

Vicky Featherstone studied drama at Manchester University . From 1997 to 2005 she was artistic director of the independent theater group Paines Plow , which brings new plays to the stage and thus goes on tour from London. She has produced with her, among others, Crazy Gary's Mobile Disco by Gary Owen , Splendor by Abi Morgan , Sleeping around by Mark Ravenhill and Stephen Greenhorn as well as the world premiere of Crave by Sarah Kane at the Edinburgh Festival . In 2006 she moved to the newly established National Theater of Scotland , which operates from Glasgow without a permanent home. In the first year of the Edinburgh Festival under her direction, Gregory Burke's piece Black Watch was brought out, which deals with the deployment of the Scottish regiment of the same name in the Iraq war .

In May 2013 she took over the management of the Royal Court Theater in London .

Featherstone is married with two children.
