Victor Delplanque

Victor Delplanque (born May 6, 1881 in Taintegnies , Hainaut , Belgium ; † September 3, 1944 in Buchenwald concentration camp ) was a French entrepreneur , resistance fighter against National Socialism in the Resistance and a prisoner in Buchenwald concentration camp.

Life

Delplanque was an entrepreneur and participated in the French resistance to the occupation of the country by the Wehrmacht . He was arrested in Mailly-Maillet on August 16, 1944 . The convoy for transport to a prisoner of war camp was diverted to the Buchenwald concentration camp two days later. On August 23, 1944, he was sent to the Buchenwald concentration camp and given the prisoner number 81555. He died twelve days after his arrival in the small camp .

Victor Delplanque was the husband of Henriette Leroy Marguerite.
