Life
Victor Hugo Palma Paúl was ordained a priest on December 23, 1983 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him Coadjutor Bishop of Escuintla on July 14, 2001 . He received his episcopal ordination on September 1st of the same year by the Bishop of Escuintla, Fernando Claudio Gamalero González ; Co- consecrators were Ramiro Moliner Inglés , Apostolic Nuncio in Guatemala , Rodolfo Quezada Toruño , Archbishop of Guatemala and Victor Hugo Martínez Contreras , Archbishop of Los Altos Quetzaltenango-Totonicapán .
After Fernando Claudio Gamalero González's death, he succeeded him on April 3, 2004 in the office of Bishop of Escuintla.
