The diocese Escuintla ( lat . : Dioecesis Escuintlensis ) is a diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Escuintla . It includes the Escuintla Department .
history
Pope Paul VI founded the territorial prelature Escuintla on May 9, 1969 from cessions of territory from the Archdiocese of Guatemala . On July 28, 1994 she was raised to a diocese.
