The diocese of Jalapa ( lat. : Dioecesis Ialapensis in Guatimala ) is in Guatemala situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Jalapa . It includes the departments of Jalapa and El Progreso .
history
Pope Pius XII founded the diocese on March 10, 1951 from cessions of territory from the Archdiocese of Guatemala . On January 25, 2016 there were territorial shares for the establishment of the diocese of Jutiapa .
