The Apostolic Vicariate El Petén ( Latin Apostolicus Vicariatus de El Petén ) is a Roman Catholic Apostolic Vicariate based in Flores , Guatemala . It includes the department of Petén .
history
Pope Pius XII founded the Apostolic Administration on March 10, 1951 from cession of territory by the Diocese of Verapaz, Cobán . On February 3, 1984, she was elevated to the position of Vicariate Apostolic.
