Victor Manuel Maldonado Barreno OFM (born February 14, 1927 in Alausí ) is auxiliary bishop emeritus in Guayaquil .

Life

Victor Manuel Maldonado Barreno joined the religious order of the Franciscans in and received on 29 June 1953, the priestly ordination . John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Guayaquil and titular bishop of Ceramussa on February 2, 1990 .

The Archbishop of Guayaquil Juan Ignacio Larrea Holguín donated him episcopal ordination on March 3 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were Bernardino Carlos Guillermo Honorato Echeverría Ruiz OFM, Senior Archbishop of Guayaquil, and Luigi Conti , Apostolic Nuncio in Ecuador .

On October 4, 2003, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
