Victor Schivert
Victor Schivert (born October 8, 1863 in Iași ; † June 20, 1929 in Munich ) was a Romanian history and nude painter who worked in Munich.
Born the son of the painter Albert Gustav Schievert (1826–1881), he studied at the Graz Art School and from October 18, 1881 at the Royal Academy of Arts in Munich with Alois Gabl and Otto Seitz . After graduating, he worked in Munich for life.
He mainly painted history and genre scenes as well as female nudes. He also created 130 book illustrations on the history of the peasant wars.
