Vida Skalská-Neuwirthová

Vida Skalská-Neuwirthová (* 10. July 1962 in Teplice as Vida Skalská ) is a former Czech actress and now writer of children's literature.

Career

She got her first role in the television film Kotva u prívozu . When she was in her early twenties, she could be seen in a fairy tale production in Missed Lucky . There she played alongside Rudolf Hrušínský , Petr Čepek , Josef Somr or Július Satinský the deceitful Princess Bosana . This was followed by a cast in the short film Dárecek . She was seen in a supporting role in Heimat, sweet Heimat .

At the turn of the millennium, she stopped acting and works as a tourist guide in Prague and Terezín . Skalská-Neuwirthová is of Jewish origin. She has written two children's books on this topic: 1995 Opuštěný palác a jiné židovské pohádky (in German about Abandoned Palaces and Other Jewish Fairy Tales ) and 2003 Dobře ukryté poklady aneb Příběhy z Midraše ( Well-hidden treasures and stories from the Midrash ).
