Viego is one of nine parroquias in the municipality of Ponga in the autonomous region of Asturias in Spain .
The 78 inhabitants (2011) live in 2 villages near the Ponga Nature Park on an area of ​​40.01 km² on the Rio Ponga . San Juan de Beleño, the administrative center of the municipality, is 9 km away. The livestock industry has been the main livelihood in the region since ancient times.
