The Viereckschanze (also Keltenschanze , Bauer Schanz ) in Tannheim is a rampart from the Latènezeit that above the part map Hunter House in district Biberach in Baden-Württemberg located. The facility is located on the Upper Swabian Celtic Road .

The Viereckschanze is located on a public dirt road east of Jägerhaus in the direction of Krimmel in the "Bauernschanz" forest area. The Viereckschanze is a slightly trapezoidal, 100 meter long and 40 meter wide rampart with a surrounding moat from the Latène period. Another Viereckschanze has been documented near the Iller in the district of Oyhof . It is relatively difficult to find, as a forest of spruce plants that was around fifty years old in 2020 stands over its remains .

In 1995, a small plane crashed in Tannheim, killing four people. To commemorate this crash, the woman had one of the crash victims erect a field cross at the crash site . This cross is located approximately at the end of the Viereckschanze.
