Virmond-Neersen
Virmond-Neersen refers to the Lower Rhine line of the noble family von Virmond (often also Viermund or Virmont), which had its seat in the Neersen rule . The noble family von Virmond originally came from Viermünden in Hesse, the Hessian line of the family Virmond can be found in the rulership of Nordenbeck and a Westphalian line in the rulership of Bladenhorst (see Virmond-Bladenhorst ).
The lords of Virmond-Neersen ruled from 1502 to 1744 and in the meantime rose from knighthood to imperial counts.
