Viktor Burakov
Viktor Burakov ( Ukrainian Віктор Бураков , English transcription Viktor Burakov; born May 30, 1955 in Dymytrov ) is a former Ukrainian sprinter who competed for the Soviet Union .
In 1978 he reached the semi-finals at the European Athletics Championships in Prague over 400 m .
At the Athletics World Cup in Montreal in 1979, he came in sixth over 200 m and in fourth place with the Soviet team in the 4 x 400 meter relay .
In 1980 he retired from the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Sindelfingen over 400 m in the semifinals. At the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow, he reached the semifinals over 400 m and contributed to the victory of the Soviet team with a use in the run-up of the 4 x 400 meter relay .
In 1981 he was fourth again at the World Cup in Athletics in Rome in the Soviet 4 x 400 meter relay.
In 1979 he was the Soviet indoor champion over 400 m.
