Viktor Hötter

Willi "Viktor" Hötter (born September 11, 1894 in Wambel ; † July 10, 1917 ) was a German short-distance runner .

He grew up in Schwerte , where he became a member of the Schwerter Sport Club 06 . When the First World War broke out , he was considered the fastest man in Germany, and his time of 10.4 s over 100 meters , achieved in Münster on June 14, 1914, was even faster than the first official world record of the American Donald Lippincott , the 1912 10, It took 6 s for this route.

He was a bearer of the Iron Cross 1st and 2nd class.
