Viktor Hoven

Viktor Hoven (born March 26, 1909 in Kornelimünster , † October 10, 1968 in Simmerath ) was a German politician of the FDP .

Life and work

After graduating from high school, Hoven studied law, history and economics at the universities in Cologne , Paris , Berlin and Frankfurt am Main . He then becomes Dr. phil. PhD. From 1935 he was an independent businessman in the lime industry. He took part in the Second World War from 1939 to 1945 as a soldier (last rank captain).

Hoven was a member of the state parliament in North Rhine-Westphalia from 1954 to 1958 and was a member of the German Bundestag from 1957 to 1965 .

Public offices

From 1952 to 1956 Hoven was mayor of Kornelimünster in what was then the Aachen district and from 1956 to 1958 deputy district administrator .
