Viktor Losert
Viktor Losert (born February 23, 1952 in Vienna ) is an Austrian mathematician and university professor at the University of Vienna .
He received his doctorate in 1975 under Johann Cigler on the subject of duality of functors and operator ideals at the University of Vienna and in 1979 he completed his habilitation there on the subject of equal distribution in compact, separable, non-metrizable spaces . He deals with ergodic theory , harmonic analysis and functional analysis . He is the editor of the monthly booklet for mathematics at Springer Verlag and was at times also chief editor.
