Viktor Voit

Viktor Johann Voit (born July 22, 1888 in Marburg , † June 28, 1948 in Graz ) was an Austrian politician ( Landbund ) and lawyer. Voit was married and from 1923 to 1927 a member of the Burgenland state parliament and regional councilor in the Burgenland state government .

Voit was born as the son of the railway official Johann Voit. He attended elementary school and then a high school. Voit studied at the Universities of Vienna and Graz and received his doctorate in 1927 for Dr. jur . He then completed his legal practice in Mattersburg , Radkersburg and at the Graz Higher Regional Court in 1927 and practiced as a lawyer in Graz from March 4, 1931. Politically Voit was active as a member of the state parliament between November 13, 1923 and May 20, 1927, and between April 4, 1924 and February 9, 1927, he was also a member of the state council. When he joined the state government, he was a member of the state party executive of the Burgenland Farmers' Union, which on May 16, 1926 was renamed the Landbund für Österreich, Landesorganization Burgenland at his request . Voit worked in his party between 1924 and 1925 as a secretary and was between May 16, 1926 and June 19, 1927 managing director of the Landbund. After leaving regional politics on May 20, 1927, Voit moved to Graz and ran for the National Council election in 1927 as list leader in the constituency of Graz and the surrounding area.
