Princess Viktoria Adelheid of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg , full name Viktoria Adelheid Helena Louise Maria Frederike of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg (born December 31, 1885 at Gut Grünholz in Thumby near Kappeln ; † October 3, 1970 in Grein , Austria ) was a German noblewoman and by marriage the last Duchess of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha ; as well as a member of the British royal family .

Viktoria Adelheid was the eldest daughter of Duke Friedrich Ferdinand of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg (1855-1934) and his wife Princess Caroline Mathilde of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Augustenburg (1860-1932), daughter of Duke Friedrich VIII Schleswig-Holstein and Princess Adelheid zu Hohenlohe-Langenburg . Through her mother she was a niece of the last German Empress Auguste Viktoria . At a court ball in the Berlin City Palace on February 15, 1905, Princess Viktoria Adelheid became the British Prince Carl Eduard of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, 2nd Duke of Albany (1884-1954), only son of Leopold, Duke of Albany and Princess Helene of Waldeck-Pyrmont , presented.
