Vilar das Almas is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in the northern Portuguese district of Ponte de Lima in the Minho-Lima sub-region . The community had 374 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).

On September 29, 2013, the parishes of Vilar das Almas, Gaifar and Sandiães were merged to form the new parish Associação de Freguesias do Vale do Neiva .
