Viljans Öga -

Viljans Öga is the third studio album by the Swedish progressive rock band Änglagård . It is the first studio album since the 1994 epilogue , after the band had taken a long career break .

Creation and publication

As early as 2002 there were isolated rumors that the band wanted to record a successor to their last studio album, Epilog . But it was not until May 2009 that these rumors grew stronger and were confirmed by drummer Mattias Olsson with the announcement of new recordings.

The album was recorded at the Atlantis Studio and Vintage Studio in Stockholm and the Crazy Horse Studio in Täby . The recordings of drums , electric bass and Hammond organ for the album were documented by Martin Gustafsson , who also works as a video producer for Loch Vostok from Uppsala, and uploaded to the non-commercial video portal Vimeo from March 2012 and are also on YouTube in the anglagardrecords channel to see. The band performed three of the four tracks on the album in June 2012 at NEARfest in Bethlehem , Pennsylvania . In connection with the NEARfest, the first copies were sold through the mail order distributor Wayside. Some US mail orderers then included the album in their program and sold a first pressing.

Due to an error in the press shop, the second edition and thus the regular publication had to be postponed to July 31, 2012. the album will be released by Änglagård Records / Alvarsdotter and will be available in a limited vinyl edition and a regular CD edition.
