Villas Hölderlinstraße 4/8 (Radebeul)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The villas at Hölderlinstrasse 4 and 8 are located in the original district of the Saxon city of Radebeul . Both of the same type of construction, they were built in 1890/1891 (No. 4) and 1891/1892 (No. 8) by the building contractors Gebrüder Ziller in Moritzstrasse, which they themselves developed and named after Moritz Ziller as the older brother . The house at Hölderlinstrasse 4 was the resting place of the Siamese court photographer Gustav Richard Lambert . His son, the psychotherapist Fritz Lambert , founded the Lambert Coué Institute in his parents' house in 1930 , which was entered in the register of associations as the Lambert Coué Society in 1933. This was moved to the Lambert house at Weberstraße 6 in 1935 .

description

Hölderlinstrasse 4

Villa Hölderlinstrasse 4

The two-storey, under monument protection standing villa like Villa Hölderlinstraße 4 ( position ) is in " late classical -sounding neo stylized". The building type and the high-quality facade correspond to Villa Dr.-Schmincke-Allee 16 . The building stands on a polygonal masonry base. The street view, which is four window axes wide, has a single-storey porch with an exit on the right , which is secured by a grid that has since been simplified. The ground floor windows are rectangular with roofs, the upper floor windows are arched with a keystone. On top is a flat, flattened hipped roof , the platform of which was formerly enclosed by a grid. The roof has a central porthole facing the street .

On the back of the plastered building with extensive plaster and sandstone structure there is a two-storey side wing with a flat roof. In the right side view there is an entrance porch, which was added later in 1934. Remnants of the original ornamental jamb painting have been preserved under the wide roof overhang, which is supported by carved consoles .

The enclosure consists of wooden fence panels between simple pillars.

Villa Hölderlinstrasse 8

The two-storey, with each enclosure under preservation properties hut-like Villa Hölderlinstraße 8 ( position ) corresponds to the neighboring building Hölderlinstraße 4, but the former quality façade has now been reduced. The exit on the porch is still secured by now simplified grids between the original corner pillars. The entrance porch in the right side view was also subsequently, albeit differently, added. Remains of the original ornamental jamb painting are also preserved under the wide roof overhang, which is supported by carved consoles .

The younger enclosure consists of lancet fence fields, the lattice wings of the entrance gate have an elaborate, baroque essay as well as two initials EG and sit between sandstone pillars with echoes of Art Nouveau . There is a vase and a garden sculpture on the property.
