The Villa Kienlin at Mörikestraße 7-9 in Stuttgart is a listed villa in the “French New Baroque style” and with “stately new Baroque decor ”. It is a “typical manorial villa property of late historicism after 1890”.

description

The building was built from 1891 to 1892 according to plans by the Stuttgart architects Ludwig Eisenlohr and Carl Weigle for the secret councilor Albert Kienlin, a manufacturer in Esslingen. Carl Weigle was responsible for the construction. He designed a large-scale two-storey house, a coach house and a garden with an arcade and terrace . The villa and coach house were clad in light sandstone. The facades are structured by window axes and rusticated pilaster strips . On the street, garden and courtyard side, the facades have pronounced central axes. The average risks on the street and garden side showed “high French roofs”. The main entrance is in the Risaliten on Mörikestrasse. This shows arched gables , pilasters , an initial cartouche with the initial “K” for Kienlin and a vertical gable with a dwarf house .
