description

The two-storey villa with a mansard roof had a square floor plan. The building, which was built in the classical style , had a central projection on the front side, with a cross-storey lattice window . The risalit was closed with a roof hood .

The villa had an area of around four hectares that is now completely forested . It is bordered by the streets Am Jagdhaus in the north and In den Birken in the south, to which the villa belonged by post. To the west, the Birkenhöhe school adjoins the street of the same name. Row houses have recently been built on the sides facing the streets mentioned.

The southern part of the site was designed like a park, the remains of a representative driveway from the In den Birken road can still be seen in the forest. To the west of this driveway is a small, almost silted pond. In the northeast of the former park a small artificial grotto has been preserved, similar to the ones built in baroque and English landscape parks. Individual trees such as bald cypresses, which are atypical for the rest of the park's forest, have also been preserved. Here, on the driveway, there was likewise enshrined coach house , the villa was in the forest.

The Barmer yarn wholesaler Knoth acquired the villa and the site from the Eulenburg family in 1948. After the building was used as a police station in the meantime, it fell into disrepair by the end of the 1970s and was demolished around 1980.
