Villa Rivero (also: Pueblo Originario Aramasi or Muela ) is a town in the department of Cochabamba in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

location

Villa Rivero is the central place of the municipality of Villa Rivero in the province of Punata and is located on the southeast edge of the 490 km² fertile plateau of the Valle Alto . The village is located at an altitude of 2735  m, about ten kilometers from the edge of the Cordillera Oriental , which rises to over 3,600 m east of Villa Rivero and 4,100 m north of Punata .

Villa Rivero is located in the transition area between the Bolivian Altiplano in the west and the Bolivian lowlands in the east.

The mean average temperature of the region is just under 18 ° C (see climate diagram Cochabamba) and fluctuates only slightly between 14 ° C in June and July and 20 ° C in November. The annual precipitation is about 450 mm, with a pronounced dry season from May to September with monthly precipitation below 10 mm, and a humidity period from December to February with 90–110 mm monthly precipitation.

From Cochabamba the paved national road Ruta 7 leads in a south-easterly direction 41 kilometers to San Benito , from there a dirt road six kilometers further south-east to Punata and another eight kilometers to Villa Rivero .
