Villa Salbach

description

The two-storey, under monument protection standing Villa has a "painterly irregular [n] elevation," its effect through the mounted on the left edge of the street view upstairs in a corner half-timbered - bay reinforced with carvings and curved head and foot braces.

The street view of the barely structured plastered building consists of two broad window axes. There are twin windows on the upper floor above the normal rectangular windows on the ground floor . The gable above this is lined with half-timbering, the roof above it is designed in the form of a cripple hip.

In both side views there are side elevations with half-hip gables at the back of the building . In the right side view there is an entrance porch in front of the risalit with a roofed exit from the upper floor, in the opposite side view there was formerly an open veranda . On the back of the building there are "picturesquely designed verandas".

In front of the building there used to be an elaborate gate system with a wrought iron gate and roof.

history

The master builder FA Bernhard Große from Kötzschenbroda applied in May 1896 and again in August 1897 to build a villa based on his own design. The approval for use was granted in August 1898.

In February 1902, the court actress Clara Hofmann-Salbach and her husband Jean Hofmann applied for the construction of a veranda with a covered exit, the design of which was also by Bernhard Große. The construction inspection of the veranda took place in November 1902. Shortly after the First World War, Salbach moved from there to a city apartment near Dresden's Great Garden .
