Villa Simon Bolívar is a country town in the Santa Cruz Department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
Until 2012, Villa Simon Bolívar was the second largest town in the canton of La Guardia in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) of La Guardia in the province of Andrés Ibáñez . The city lies at an altitude of 485 m on the right bank of the Río Piraí . With effect from the 2012 census, the town of Villa Simón Bolívar is no longer listed as an independent town, but is now a district of the town of La Guardia .
geography
Villa Simon Bolívar is located in a tropical, humid climate on the eastern edge of the Andes mountain range of the Cordillera Oriental . The region was covered by subtropical rainforest before colonization , but is now mostly cultivated land . The mean average temperature of the region is almost 25 ° C, the annual precipitation is about 1300 mm. The monthly average temperatures fluctuate between 20 ° C in July and 28 ° C in December, the monthly rainfall is abundant and is between 40 mm in August and 200 mm in January.
Transport network
From the center of Santa Cruz, the capital of the department, the paved road Ruta 7 runs as a four-lane " Grigota Avenue " twelve kilometers in a south-westerly direction to the junction of Ruta 9 in a south-easterly direction. Two kilometers after the junction, Villa Simón Bolívar is on the left of Ruta 7 , the road then continues through the center of La Guardia to Cochabamba .
