Villa rustica 1 (Vachendorf)

The villa rustica 1 on the district of Vachendorf , a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Traunstein , was established in 1996 by the discovery of Samian discovered -Scherben. The villa rustica of the Roman Empire is located southwest of the Tüttensee and about 450 meters west of Lug . It is a protected ground monument .

The discovered rubble hill is 15 × 10 meters in size and is located on the upper edge of the slope above the Mühlbach . The location on a terrace on the south-facing slope above a body of water is typical of Villae rusticae.

The surface of the mound of rubble with a height of up to 50 cm has a surface destroyed by robbery excavations .
