Villa rustica (petting)

The villa rustica in the district of Petting , a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Traunstein , was discovered in 1912 during construction work. The villa rustica from the Roman Empire is located about one kilometer southwest of the Church of St. John the Baptist and is a protected ground monument .

The State Monuments Office was able to examine several buildings. Wall foundations, hypocaust systems , painted wall plaster, ceramics and small finds were discovered.
